Craft Cider is once again meeting in Chicago this week for CiderCon 3. In it's 3rd year CiderCon has reported having over 200 attendees. Besides the usual run of the mill cider chit-chat and industry talk this group will be discussing a National cider organization and some potential cider legislation changes to help us all bring what seems to be the next big drink to consumers.
If that weren't enough this year there is a CiderCon trade show and a Cider Summit NW planned for the week. Sounds like good sippin' in Chicago.
Paul and his Vander Mill Cider was featured today in a post from Grub Street Chicago titlled "Vander Mill Cider Will Be In The House This Week" and he certainly will be. Paul has set up 3 cider release events in Chicago on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday to celebrate the release of his new Chapman's Blend. I think we can safely assume the "Chapman" portion of the name is a friendly nod to John Chapman the American folklore icon Johnny Appleseed.
