Cider Class at Ed's Apples in Sultan WA. August 22, 2009 10am-2pm

WSU Tree Fruit Specialist Gary Moulton will present an overview of the topic from apple to glass including varietal selection, growing and harvest information, as well as an informal look at the production steps from raw fruit to finished bottle.

How did this event go? I wanted to attend but was unable to make the trip.

I didn't go either but I had a friend go last year and he loved it. I suspect it was the same quality this year. Gary Moulton who teaches the class is a knowledgeable and nice guy.
My buddy has since made his first batch using cider from a local cider mill. It turned out pretty good too.
I should mention they give a short talk on cider making at the Vashon Island Cider Fest which is Saturday October 10th this year.
